We have an Inconvenient Truth by Al Gore; now we have a Convenient Memory. Nancy Pelosi remembers that she heard a briefing on certain "enhanced interrogation techniques" but never thought they would be used. That is a stunning memory. It is truly pathetic how the memory of the left manages to be convenient when it comes to attempting to vilify the Bush administration.
I am not a Bush fan on many matters, but to attempt to accuse the Bush folks of illegal, or even impeachable offenses is absurd. Worse, there are now calls for the impeachment of Jay Bybee, then an Assistant Attorney General and now a federal judge on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. He is accused of acts which are alleged to be illegal because he wrote opinions on the legality of these techniques. Absolutely pathetic.
The release of the memos and the refusal to release the details of the results of these techniques is "disingenuous at best;" fraudulent at worst. The Obama administration is clearly using the rules of Alinsky, even after it is in office. More on that in another Blog post.
You wrote that the actions of this administration are "disingenuous at best;" fraudulent at worst."
I would amend that to say, traitorous at worst. What else do you call giving our secret methods, sources and tactics to our enemies?
