The North Korean rhetoric in defense of its rouge nation status is actually quite humorous. The use of the rock and the rotten egg comment is quite interesting since it really is accurate. North Korea has been a rock against the serious of rotten eggs thrown over the years. The policies of the world to stop its proliferation have been so foolish as to be rotten. This is a megalomaniac, with nothing to lose. He has China and the Soviet Union "flying air cover for him, and the US and the REST OF THE WEST, doing nothing substitutes, and the UN doing what it always does: spin the words to sound strong and to be weak.
This situation is very dangerous, and it is clear that even China does not really know what to do. China wants to control the hemisphere, but it can not control North Korea because they can not afford to topple the regime and destroy the control economy. Clinton, Bush, and now Obama have tried every peaceful way to stop North Korea, and nothing has worked. The next step would be an increase in sanctions, and now, North Korea has threatened to "go to war with the US and the South." The problem is, the South is what is at risk.
