As an AFL quarterback, he exhibited competitiveness and leadership and later proved that he was also a sound political thnker. He was a very early advocate of tax cuts to stimulate the economy, and was in many ways a legitimate "Economist like thinker." I am certain many of you knew him as I did, and candidly, we have lost a person who was a legitimate conservative, but who knew that people mattered. Idealogy is not what makes a leader: love for humans is.
